We at Crochet Union are very specific about the quality and type of patterns allowed on our site.

Patterns allowed on Crochet Union must:

  1. Not Contain Any Mature Content. All crochet patterns that contain any mature content are not allowed to be listed on Crochet Union. Crochet is universal and for all ages, we do not allow any mature content on our website, as we have young teens using the site, and likely small children looking over their parents’ shoulders.
  2. Not Contain any Content Created by anyone other than the designer unless prior, explicit written permission from the owner of any other content used.
  3. Not Contain any licensed character. NO LICENSED CHARACTER PATTERNS ALLOWED. Anything Disney or “Disney inspired” is not allowed on Crochet Union due to copyright law.
  4. Have Been Properly Edited. Patterns need to have been either tech edited or tested by two competent crochet pattern testers, and checked for errors. We want to deliver the highest quality patterns to Makers. Part of our mission is getting designers paid more, and before we can raise prices, we must raise overall quality. We do not provide tech editing services.
  5. Proper US or UK crochet terms. Please make sure to specify which are used in you listing under the “Attributes” section.
  6. A Clean and Concise Appearance. Patterns must be easily readable and look clean.
  7. Proper Photos. Patterns must have enough clean looking photos to explain any concepts or steps necessary.

Pattern Pricing:

  1. Please make sure to price patterns properly. A great resource for calculating proper pattern listing prices can be found here.
